JBOSS JVM Measures for Declared Thread Hung Count and Active Thread Count like in WAS

Hello there AppMon-ites, I am using AppMon 6.5 for a JBoss app server and I am interested to have a dashboard for monitoring Declared Thread Hung Count and Active thread Hung Count (which are there like in WebSphere measure groups). I could only see Thread Count and there is not hung thread metric.

Also It seems Thread count measure does not points to number of ACTIVE threads. But something else.

Kindly suggest how can I get these metrics.

Hi

Unfortunately hung threads is not available for jboss as it is done via pmi for websphere and doesn't exist with jboss even via jmx.

The only way to see if a thread is stuck is to manually do several thread dumps and compare them.

Oops, Should It be valid to raise a REF?

Thanks, Rajesh

Hi

an RFE with JBOSS yes but not with AppMon. 🙂

It has nothing to do with appMon as the data is simply not available.

What about "active" thread counts? Can I get it?
