Does the Dynatrace Integration with ServiceNow overwrite an existing CMDB, or can it co-exist with incumbent CMDB from ServiceNow discovery nodes?

I am working with a Dynatrace customer (SaaS) and they would like to take advantage of the CMDB Smartscape integration.

They have spent considerable time developing a dependency map/CMDB in ServiceNow and would like to know whether the data from Dynatrace will either supplement this existing CMDB or overwrite it.

Hi Nick,

The ServiceNow integration is designed to not overwrite an existing CMDB or to delete anything that was there before. Dynatrace discovered entities will coexist with the already existing ones. The downside of this is that if you manually created a host that Dynatrace also reports you will get duplicates.
