Prometheus Extension 2.0 without Prometheus Server

Is the Monitoring configuration requires mandatory of the endpoint URL to the Prometheus server as mention here? Is it possible to configure the extension to scrap directly from the pod and annotations?

Hello, are you trying to get prometheus metrics from a kubernetes/oc cluster ? If yes, you can activate an option in the kubernetes cluster settings:

Thanks. I'm aware of this feature but it has limitation which I have raised here. So I was seeking out other options like Extension 2.0 which ease of development.

We are currently working on allowing Extensions 2.0 on K8s.
This will be based on Prometheus endpoints, so you shall be able to poll data from your applications without the need of a dedicated Prometheus server.
