Backup and restore Dynatrace Managed cluster with VMware snapshot

Hi all!

Our customer plans the backup of Dynatrace Managed cluster node with VMware snapshot.

So if the node is crashed and they reboot from backup snapshot image, is it possible to restore the Cassandra and Elasticsearch data automatically?

If a restored machine has same IP it might work. However this is not a supported solution. The only one that is supported is to follow restore procedure here:

Back up and restore a cluster

as you see there are additional steps required that are not done when restoring from a snapshot
