I have ADO.NET based application which will make a call for the database. I need to capture the details of performance counters (NumberofActiveConnectionpools, NumberofInactiveConnections...etc) from application side. OneAgents are installed on both application and database layers. Will Dynatrace automatically capture those details. If not I want to capture those details form ADO.NET based application and send the details as custom metrics to Dynatrace using oneAgent/ActiveGate plugin with python. What will be the appropriate solution for this scenario.

If you have the Oneagent on both sides they you should have the data you are looking for. If you need more data you can always test out an extension
