Tibco often has Hawk monitoring built in and deployed.
Dynatrace will generally remove competing/conflicting monitoring solutions.
As such, will it remove Tibco Hawk? and if not, will it conflict?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I do not believe the TIBCO HawkAgent is removed by the OneAgent. It is monitored as a Java process on the host.
Dynatrace agent never uninstalls any other products, however some 3rd party deep dive agent technologies will be rendered inoperative as OneAgent replaces them at the process level. So if Hawk was injecting into a java process using hooks such as -javaagent or -agentpath, then YES Hawk would be effectively removed by the OneAgent when OneAgent injects into that same java process.
While we generally remove javaagents so that they don't interfere with our Agent, Hawk is usually left in place. We have quite a few Tibco Customers and Hawk runs fine in conjunction with Dynatrace OneAgent.
