Hi,
Can you advise how can I monitor database size (possibly tables size) and display it in the Dashboard?
Thanks.

If you are able to fetch those data by some kind of script, than you can create custom metrics and push them to Dynatrace.

Hi @Jakub M. do you have an ETA on when DB Insights for MS SQL will be available, and whether or not it will track database size / free space?

For Oracle I have information about tablespaces for more than a year now.
In Custom Charts select "Used space" for tablespace size:
Then, split the information. You can then filter it by your needs:

That's good to know, but I'm interested in this for Microsoft SQL Server, specifically 🙂

MS SQL monitoring extension is planned to be released either this year, or early next year.
First version won't be able to report DB size, as we'd like to minimize the metrics splitting to minimum, and gather some feedback on what's needed for future releases.

@dglugla Do I see correctly that DB size monitoring feature is still not available in the MS SQL extension?
