What actually is 'Unexpected Service'?

I have seen .NET unexpected service and also Tomcat unexpecetd service. I suppose this has nothing to do with the type of technology used. But I still no idea what might them be and what is causing this.

Basically, it means the service cannot be determined due to an issue collecting the PurePath data:
