What can I use the new Databases App for?

Dynatrace has recently launched a new Databases App. For what it could be used and what are other features that could we expect to be implemented soon?

Dynatrace Database Application is designed to be a go-to application for Database Administrators (DBAs) caring about the performance and availability of their databases.

In the current version, it supports server-side observability for relational databases:

• Oracle

• MS SQL Server

• IBM DB2

• SAP HanaDB

• MySQL

• PostgreSQL

• and Snowflake

Soon we will introduce monitoring support for other DB types and deployments, like NoSQL and in-memory databases, cluster deployments, cloud DB services, and client-side database observability.

We want the Databases App to help not only DBAs in their daily tasks, but also other personas looking for answers on DB-related questions.
