I do have a passion over 80’s music. I have an entire playlist with many many songs, that going in a different direction over my usual music passion, which is hard and angry metal musics. 80’s were some happy and lovely era for music.
One of my preferred is this one:
Rockwell - Somebody’s Watching Me (1983)
and the funny thing is, I met this music because of this cover, which is more my usual taste of music.
Warmen - Somebody’s Watching Me (2005)
Hope you like it.

This one is quite old for Hardstyle fans and has the ultimate 2000’s vibes (think it’s from 2012??? but something is sure going on with the outfits in the video), but sure get’s people dancing.
Wildstylez Feat. Niels Geusebroek - Year Of Summer (Official Videoclip) (youtube.com)
And one of my grandma’s favorites which is stuck in my head quite often :D. We listened to it (or one of the 100 other versions) on her gramophone in the basement when it was too hot.

The challenging bit in this challenge is trying to keep it under 200 items long
I’ll try to summarize, but just keeping within my Spotify’s “Liked Songs” scope!
First, searching “Summer” on the title a see a few great tracks:
- Joe Hisaishi - One Summer’s Day
- Seth MacFarlane - The Things We Did Last Summer
- Vybz Kartel - Summer Time
- Simple Plan - Summer Paradise ft. Sean Paul
- Cais Sodré Funk Connection - Summer days of fun
Then, there are some other truely nostalgic songs, that keep that summer vibe going:
- Akon - Don’t Matter
- Asaf Avidan, The Mojos - One Day / Reckoning Song
- Marc Anthony - Vivir Mi Vida
- Fogo Fogo com Sara Tavares - Kabu Frontam
And so much more!
I feel like my playlist will get longer after this post: so many good suggestions from all!
