Custom Extension creator from Existing IBM DB2 for LUW (remote monitoring)

Hi There,

We have a requirement where we have to execute some queries from DB2 to check transactions and create dashboard, alerts, etc.

We have already enabled IBM DB2 for LUW (remote monitoring) extension in our environment however, struggling to use extend it via Extension Creator.

Requirement is to do some query on database at regular interval of time and at the time of abnormality raise alerts. These queries are not running from the application itself otherwise we would have leverage custom metrics and the DQL and can be used to create alerts, dashboard etc.

However, since these are not being run from the application. To check the status queries are being run manually.

Any suggestion would be really appreciative. Thanks!

I would suggest to create your own extension just for your queries. Extending mentioned standard extension is not a good option due to various reasons (f.e. they have it’s own lifecycle and should be upgraded any time).
