We’re excited to share the latest enhancements and upcoming developments in Synthetic Monitoring: the set of improvements that strengthen the overall experience across the latest Dynatrace platform.
This release marks an important milestone in the transition of Synthetic Monitoring to the latest Dynatrace platform. Full browser monitor support that allow users to work entirely within the new experience without relying on the Dynatrace Classic interface.
To help you explore these updates, we’ve prepared, with @Jacek_Janowicz, a series of questions and answers that walk through the details and explain what they mean for you.
Access management:
- What privileges are currently required to create and manage synthetic monitors in the new Synthetic app in the latest Dynatrace?
- Is there a new-Dynatrace equivalent to using Management Zones for granting synthetic monitor creation without full admin rights?
- Will a separate “Synthetic‑only” permission be introduced to make access management easier?
- Will Dynatrace deliver on granular privilege with the new privileges?
- Is the separate permission for Synthetic also planned for Dynatrace Managed?
