AI tools integration with Dynatrace

abhishek_shedge

Hello, I am trying to integrate my Dynatrace dashboard with AI tools like Microsoft Co-Pilot Studio/M365 Co-Pilot/ MCP server, etc., with the help of the Dynatrace API.

The goal is to create a chat assistant that can give us answers quickly instead of going through the entire Dynatrace dashboard.

May I get some documentation for the same?

Thanks!!

Hi,
A good starting point is the official Dynatrace MCP server documentation. This is currently the most relevant option if you want to connect Dynatrace with external AI assistants/agents and let them query or explain Dynatrace data.

If your goal is simply to ask questions about Dynatrace data in a chat-style interface, Dynatrace already provides Dynatrace Assist, which supports conversational access to environment data and natural-language-to-DQL capabilities.

If you are targeting Microsoft Copilot / MCP-based tooling, I would start with MCP first, then expose only the specific use cases.
If you get this working, please share the results. I’d be curious to see the outcome.
