Hi ,

Today I got an alert in Dynatrace Saas "ActiveGate Token(s) will expire soon".

What should be the action I need to take.

Is it Critical Alert?

Regards,

Prithvi

Hello @Prithvi_Mandal . ActiveGate Token Expiry notifications are part of OPEX activities for your Dynatrace infraestructure.

You can follow Generate and configure ActiveGate token to renew it.

Hope it helps!!!!

Hello @Prithvi_Mandal

Referring to the provided guidance by @DanielS

  • Such notification is being triggered to alert the Dynatrace administrator that the AG token will be expired within the highlighted time period, which means that if the token expired the secure communication to Dynatrace nodes either in SaaS or Managed won't be established.
  • You can consider it as Pro-active support, and built-in feature provided by Dynatrace for early Dynatrace admins notification with Dynatrace related components issues.
  • As long as monitoring signals are transferred to AG then Dynatrace cluster it will result in a monitoring issue, if there is no communications between the AG and the cluster "Disrupt the monitoring stability".
  • You can refer to https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/activegate-security#generate  and create a new token via API as described

You can simply:

  • Generate a new AG token to keep the monitoring setup secure, consistent and stable.

KR,

Peter.
