Creating Alert Profiling for multiple Databases ports

Dears,

We have a client with managed cluster where they requested to have alerting when the port for each database is not reachable or when the listener also is not reachable.

I need your support on how to create such alerting, and also I was thinking if we create one tag for all these databases because they are a lot, and use that tag to have only one alert profile, would that be workable or not.

Hi,

Regarding alerting profile, you can:

• Tag Oracle entities.
• Create a management zone
• Create an alerting profile linked to before management zone.

For alerting you can:

• Enable process monitoring to Oracle Listener process.
• Using SMTP extension or NAM monitors for port monitoring. But my recommendation is using Oracle extension in hub.
