We have a number of custom metrics that we would like to pull into Dynatrace in regards to jobs that run for example every 1 hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, once a day and we would like to get alerted if the job doesn't run in that period. The one issue I see for custom alerts is that it only allows a window of 60 minutes. Is this something that Dynatrace would be able to extend?

Yep this is needed !!!
For similar request (monitor pod that start to run each day at 7:00) we created a small AG plugin that pulls the information with REST API to check if the POD was running today and send the information back to dynatrace with metric API and the custom alert was on the created metric. not so elegant but doing the job 🙂

Hello.
Is there a workaround we can extend the time window check?

There is a Product Idea that seems to be not planned. But it makes sense to me also, so just letting you know: more votes might be a reason for Dynatrace to reconsider this one.
