Configure OMEGAMON Data Connect HTTP endpoint for integration

I have an OMEGAMON Data Connect instance that I want to use to send events to Dynatrace. As far as I can tell, the zRemote on port 8898 cannot be used as an HTTP endpoint for this, so I guess I would have to send the data to and endpoint on an environment ActiveGate (port 9999)?

Has anyone ever tried this? The OMEGAMON instance is able to send the data to Splunk already, but that is using a TCP sink as the endpoint. I am thinking I would need the /api/v2/logs/ingest endpoint with a JSON payload in the HTTP POST?

@derick_hewetson did you end up trying this? I have a team looking to do a similar setup but haven't seen any Dynatrace integration, only Grafana.
