Need average errors for ext:cloud.aws.lambda custom metric.

I have a custom metric using the Metric Key "Errors Sum" ext:cloud.aws.lambda.errorsSum. Instead of SUM they want an average. I don't see a Metric Key option for this where I can set the aggregation as average.  I changed CloudWatch side to average.  What Metric Key do I use for this?  Have a case open but, not getting the help I need.
