Hello @dinesh_chandra

As simple as that:

  • The Environment AG or EAG is a dedicated AG for a monitoring tenant, it's might be production or UAT, can be downloaded from the monitoring tenant, communication to the cluster nodes is secured over HTTPS.
  • The Cluster AG or CAG, as the name suggests is dedicated to the cluster, simply it's set for the external RUM Signals, Oneagents traffic,  integrations, etc, it has it publicly accessible IP address, It's located behind the firewall in the DMZ "Demilitarized Zone".
  • The EAG is recommended to connect to the Cluster directly not through the CAG to avoid the intermediate nodes.
  • The CAG is connected to the setup Directly, it should have it's own SSL certificate installed.
  • The EAG: doesn't require dedicated SSL Certificate.
  • The EAG && CAG can be isolated in Network Zones as per the actual network and solution setup.
  • The CAG installation package can be downloaded through the CMC.
  • The EAG installation package can be downloaded from the monitoring tenant directly > Deploy Dynatrace > Activegate.
  • The multi-environments AG is an EAG not CAG can serve multiple the monitoring requirements but has limitations.
