Ingest SQL Metrics from Kubernetes Hosted SQLServer

Hi experts.

Can someone please guide me how we can possibly ingest SQL metrics from within our Kubernetes-hosted SQLServer?
It seems like we cannot use the SQLServer extension nor the SQLServer (local) extension for our use case. What other approaches can we use?
