Live sessions metric with sum aggregation

Hi team,

When we go to a specific process and check the live sessions, we see 18

However, when we check with the data explorer we see different numbers (108 with Sum and 3.6 with Average)

The only way we can get the 18 is doing the sum of the averages:

What does the sum represent then?
