Hi all,
Is there any possibility to integrate Dynatrace Managed with Power BI? and how if that is possible

Hi @Khejazi
I used this approach some time ago when working with Dynatrace Managed. Since Managed has largely been replaced by Dynatrace SaaS, I can't confirm whether everything still works exactly the same, as I haven't tested it recently. However, it may be worth trying.
Below are the notes I documented when I originally set this up in my environment. You can integrate Dynatrace with Power BI using the Dynatrace REST APIs. You can either use the Web connector method or the M Query method.
Create an API Token with these scopes
metrics.read,problems.read,events.read,entities.read
Full example of Host query
let
BaseUrl = "https://<managed-url>/e/<env-id>/api/v2/entities?entitySelector=type(HOST)",
Token = "Api-Token <your-api-token>",
GetPage = (url as text) =>
let
response = Web.Contents(url, [Headers = [Authorization = Token]]),
json = Json.Document(response)
in json,
GetAllPages = (url as text, accumulated as list) =>
let
page = GetPage(url),
items = if Record.HasFields(page, "entities") then page[entities] else {},
combined = accumulated & items,
nextKey = if Record.HasFields(page, "nextPageKey") then page[nextPageKey] else null,
result = if nextKey = null
then combined
else @GetAllPages(BaseUrl & "&nextPageKey=" & nextKey, combined)
in result,
allEntities = GetAllPages(BaseUrl, {}),
toTable = Table.FromList(allEntities, Splitter.SplitByNothing())
in
toTable
Transform and Visualize
After importing the data:
Build your dashboards and visualizations.
Thanks,
Sujit
