Key metric for the DDU license consumption

Hey team,

we want to use key metric function to catch some data into dashboard. The metric itself is builtin, but if I choose to collect a data from a key metric does it require DDU's?

I have doubts about what you reference as key metric? Are you referring to "Key performance metrics" (in https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/extend-dynatrace/extensions/development/extension-how-tos/key... ). Or what is known as custom metrics? Just to clarify before an answer.

Key requests do not consume DDUs, but there are limits in the number of Key Requests that you can setup in an environment, as you can see in the link you sent.
