Recreating the Dynatrace Technology Overview Dashboard with Process Groups, Alerts and DQL in Gen3

Hello everyone,

I'm a bit old-school and still miss some of the classic Dynatrace features.

Now that Smartscape has fully transitioned to the Gen3 platform, the old Technology Overview remains. I really liked how it let you switch to a specific management zone and get a clear, at-a-glance picture of what's running—plus, it highlighted issues effectively by turning sections red when problems were detected. 

I don't expect the classic version to come back, so I'm wondering: has anyone built a custom dashboard (or set of tiles/widgets) that recreates similar functionality and covers these key use cases?

A panel/section per process group or technology type

Grouping/blocking panels based on instances (or entities)

Visual indicators (e.g., tiles/tiles that turn red or show alerts) for technologies/processes when problems are detected in that area

Any tips, DQL queries, tile configurations, or shared dashboard examples would be greatly appreciated—thanks in advance.

Hey, we in fact are working on releasing a new first version of a Treemap visualization with 1.336. 

Together with using DQL, fetch and entities you can build something like the following

Thanks for the update. We have been playing with the idea of an app, as we need to understand technical impact to technical issues based on technology. ie When we have red postgres & tag=production I can look across multiple applications and sometimes multiple problems in a single view. Plus is less technical for non technical to understand.

any more update on this? I'd like only to see a list of Alerts or Problems and sorted by "technology".
