Hello All,

Is there any way to export one new dashboard from Demo Environment for instance which is SaaS to Managed Dynatrace with Latest Dashboard?

For example, if I need one dashboard which is exist in the Demo env with classic view and I want to move it to Managed with latest view of dashboard, is that possible and how?

No, from classic dashboard SaaS to new dashboard Managed

Hi,

Managed dashboard is classic dashboard to me. Have you try to export and import?

Yes, and I am getting an error as shown below

"The dashboard could not be imported. Error: 400: Could not map JSON at 'tiles' near line 1 column 16234."

Hi,

It can be multiple reasons. Could you try with a simple dashboard?

Just create a simple dashboard, a simple tile, export and import. Just to confirm dashboard can be export & import.

It can't be done with any dashboard.

Hi,

I would open a support ticket to confirm it.

Hey @kherac,

Could you share the dashboard JSON?

Also, could you try the copy/paste method?

In the source dashboard:
Settings (of dashboard) → Configure more → Dashboard JSON → Copy

Then, in Managed, create a new dashboard and go to:
Settings (of dashboard) → Configure more → Dashboard JSON → Paste

This should display the validation error, making it easier to identify and fix the issue.

Hi @dylan_taelemans ,

I have attached one of the json file that I need to export from classic SaaS to Latest Managed.
I have tried the copy and paste method but it did not work.

It seems the only solution is trying to do it manually using metrics

Hey @Khejazi ,

That JSON is from the SaaS 'Dashboards' app, not the SaaS 'Dashboards Classic' app.

Those are two different dashboard types. Dashboards created in the 'Dashboards' app can't be migrated to Managed because they can use Grail DQL queries and custom code, both of which are unavailable in Dynatrace Managed.

I thought you were referring to migrating a dashboard from the SaaS 'Dashboards Classic' app to Dynatrace Managed.

Hi,

I had understood same, classic dashboard SaaS => classic dashboard Managed.

If you are talking about new dashboards, you need to create something similar in Managed, without DQL.
