Inquiry Regarding Storage and Network Configuration in Dynatrace Managed

NicoleMT
Guide

Hello,

I have a question regarding some Dynatrace slides that mention the following:

"Disk space will need to be estimated by the architect. It is recommended to have 5 mount points:

  • PRODUCT_PATH (20 GB) - /opt/dynatrace-managed
  • DATASTORE_PATH (50 GB) - /var/opt/dynatrace-managed
  • Cassandra Database - /var/opt/dynatrace-managed/cassandra
  • Elasticsearch storage - /var/opt/dynatrace-managed/elasticsearch
  • Transaction Storage - /var/opt/dynatrace-managed/server/
  • Be sure storage can be expanded as necessary.

As I understand it, this storage configuration does not need to be set up by the client, as Dynatrace Managed will handle it automatically. Could you please confirm if this is correct?

Additionally, I have the following questions:

  1. Regarding the cluster, do the servers require additional network interface cards (NICs)?
  2. For naming the cluster, is it necessary to create an alias in our DNS and register the servers beforehand?

I appreciate your support and look forward to your response.

Best regards.
