We have an issue where log monitoring data is taking up all our storage space. There is no way to purge the data. Since we are on a physical system using SAN we cannot just add disk space on the fly.
Since logv2 log monitoring data is being stored in elastic search database and it has grown because of it.
On our second cluster adaptive data retention kicked in and somehow it purged all of our historical log data on that cluster (which we were ok with). We need to do the same with our other cluster.

Hi,
Read the documentation on data retention (including logs): https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/data-retention

Hi
I did review that document and there is no instructions in regards to changing the retention period for log v2 in dynatrace managed. I only see settings for tenant data, synthetic and rum related metrics.

Just replied in another thread:
https://community.dynatrace.com/t5/Dynatrace-Managed-Q-A/How-to-configure-log-retention-for-classic/...
Although the documentation hints in it is possible, looking at a working cluster, that seems to not be the case...

It's not possible. Log retention in Managed is fixed.

Link to the Managed documentation.
It's not marked as configurable.
