Some Kubernetes Services Not Visible in Dynatrace Managed Services

HuseynNajafli

Hello everyone,

I am currently facing an issue after integrating my Kubernetes clusters with Dynatrace. Some of my services with the type Service are not appearing under Dynatrace Managed Services. Although I can see them listed as process groups, the actual services running on top of those groups are not being displayed.

I have already tried restarting the affected services in Kubernetes and sending traffic to them, but the issue persists — the services remain invisible. Most of my applications are built on .NET, and their versions are fully supported by OneAgent, so compatibility should not be the cause.

Could you please advise how I can ensure that all my services are properly detected and displayed in Dynatrace? This is a critical issue, as it becomes quite difficult to determine which specific service is related when problems arise.

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Can you elaborate more on what services you are missing? Kubernetes services (in the Kubernetes app / Kubernetes screens) or application services running in the processes?

For the latter, be sure OneAgent is injected (you can see it in the process group instance metadata). Some of the .NET processes may require you to set up process group monitoring rules.

On the particular process, you can see if OneAgent is injected or not on the process level. If there is an error or injection is disabled you can see it:
