Other options:

2. Active gate:
You can plan and do a one-click update.

3. Manual updates is also an option.

It is recommended, post every update check for any anomalies and reach out to support team if any issues with the latest version.

@RohitBisht Is there anyway we can control when a update us pushed to cluster (SaaS) ?

Phani Devulapalli

Hi @p_devulapalli as far as I am aware, SAAS Cluster updates are automatically rolled out and control is with Dynatrace. I believe this is for the best as with every other SAAS product design.
If any issues faced, Support cases are the way to go.
Curious to hear why you would like to control SAAS upgrades though, if you can share.

@RohitBisht When we have multiple environments like NonProd , PreProd and Prod we would like to have the cluster update applied to the NonProd environment first to see if any new breaking changes are being introduced in the update and later roll it out to PreProd and Prod environments via a change control.

Something similar to how ServiceNow does

Thanks for Sharing, this is a great idea. It would be great to assess the need/requirement and what benefit this idea brings for the customers. I don't believe we have this yet.
