Hi,
We are monitoring Apache Kafka using EF1.0 extension successfully. No additional configuration to configure the extesion was needed.
Now we've added to the environment Apache Kakfa extension from Hub. But after adding the configuration for two hosts, the status is Pending.
According to documentation, we've met the prerequisites, the Extension Execution Controller setting is enabled for the hosts and the one agent features requiered for the extension are activated.
But the status is pending for both host.
What could be wrong or what is missing?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Elena.

Did you restart the JVM's after you enabled the OneAgent feature? If you did, please create a support ticket.

Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot for your answer. We are pending to restart the JVM and checking if the status changes.
But we have the same situation with Redis 2.0 extension. We're monitoring Redis successfully using EF1.0. But in case of EF2.0 (Redis 2.0 extension), we get Error. And it also doesn't show any message in the logs. We've opened a support ticket in this case.

Elena.

Hi @archana8_m ,
You have to restart the Kafka process on the machine in which you have configured the extension.
It doesn´t matter if you have configured the extension by enabling Extension Execution Controller only at host or hostgroup level or for the whole environment.

Elena.
