DB2 extension - DB2 replication (SQL,CDC)

Hi,

Is it planned to include DB2 replication in the IBM DB2 for LUW (remote monitoring) extension?

Has anyone had experience monitoring DB2 replication (SQL and CDC) by Dynatrace?

At a minimum, I would be interested in monitoring the replication state, latency, errors, etc.

Hi @roman_zo 

There is no public roadmap entry for DB2 replication monitoring in the extension. For official guidance on planned features, please contact your Dynatrace account team.

However, ss a workaround, you can use an existing DB2 monitoring solution that already collects replication metrics, such as IBM DSM or IBM Tivoli Monitoring and forward those metrics to Dynatrace via the API endpoint.

This avoids the need to build a custom Extension or OTel collector while still providing visibility into replication state, latency etc through custom Dynatrace metrics.

I am currently using IBM DSM to monitor DB2 replication and forward the collected metrics to Dynatrace through the API.
