Does a Dynatrace custom plugin require a Python environment?

We have about 12.000 hosts that we would like to deploy custom plugins on. I understand that plugins are built with a python 3.6 dependency.

Does this mean we are required to have python 3.6 on all hosts from the OS or does the oneagent come with a python environment that is used for plugin execution?

OneAgent ships python within itself, you don't need to provide it on the machine separately.
