Hi @Mike_L

What are the differences between the two local MS SQL extensions?

Monitor SQL Server using OneAgent | Dynatrace Hub

Microsoft SQL Server local counters monitoring & observability | Dynatrace Hub

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

János

You were quick to spot it! 😀

The first one will be removed in the next day or so. It was based around the WMI data source and could cause a large CPU overhead on the server. The new one is based on the Python data source and is closer to what we used to have in extension framework 1.0.

Hi @Mike_L ,

Thanks for the calrification. Yes, I can see in the attached picutres that it is a python extension.

To be honest I am continously "monitor" the new extensions day by day 😉:
