Monitoring Huawei network devices and storage

Has anyone had any experience in monitoring Huawei network devices with Dynatrace? I suppose one would be able to start with the Generic SNMP device extension, but I am curious whether anyone has created a custom extension for Huawei devices and how much more they have gained from that. Did it justify the effort of creating a custom extension?

For storage, has anyone tried monitoring Huawei storage? Would I need to create a custom extension with an API integration to the storage platform?

Can't go into any specifics, but Dynatrace SNMP extensions are very easy to create, even with Huawei devices.As the effort is so low, they really add value!

The "SNMP Generic Server" is for monitoring Hosts & Servers. It's not the best option for your case.

I would say that the "Generic network device" would be probably better for generic SNMP devices, but you would have to try it.
