@Mike_L ,
Quite frankly, something is going very wrong with the Python 3.10 extensions stuff.
In this thread, you said today:
In the same thread, @jmccullough3 referenced what I also saw earlier:
Now, the following appears:
We can't keep working like this!

EOS vs. EOL?
23 Apr 2026 11:14 PM - edited 23 Apr 2026 11:15 PM
Python 3.10 is end of support by Python in October. We cannot ship a software that no longer gets security updates, so it will be removed from the OneAgents and ActiveGates from then onward.

No, @Mike_L , you are trying to get around it.
Is it EOL or EOS?
Why was the message changed?
And I'll not make more questions, for now.

It is both. Python 3.10 is End of Support by Python, and because of that we need to End of Life it as we cannot ship unsupported software with our OneAgents/ActiveGates.

Sorry, @Mike_L
It cannot be both: is it EOS, as it was stated before, or EOL, as the message currently appears in the Platform?

And, as I asked, why was it changed?

So there is no ambiguity here, I'll screenshot it here, from
https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/whats-new/technology/end-of-life-announcements
before someone also changes this:

I think the confusion here is that:
Python community states EoL and means they wont support it any longer. ofc they cant make anyone stop from using it.
We / Dynatrace would understand EoS by that.
We will add clarification in the deprecation messages to make it more clear.
thx for raising it!

@Ve ,
The message remains the same...
