We would like to raise an enhancement request for MSSQL monitoring in Dynatrace.
Currently, the custom extension provides Missing Index recommendations, Blocking Queries, and Root Blocker details. However, graphical/XML Execution Plan visualization is not available through the custom extension and is only partially addressed through existing capabilities.
Enhancement Required:
- Graphical Execution Plan visualization for SQL queries/stored procedures.
- XML execution plan rendering within Dynatrace.
- Correlation of Execution Plans with Missing Index recommendations.
This capability would help DB teams perform complete query performance analysis from a single platform without switching to external SQL tools.
Kindly review and advise on the feasibility and roadmap for this enhancement.
