Hello Dynatrace Community 🙂,
I'm currently deploying the Active Directory Services extension using OneAgent in Infrastructure-only mode to gather WMI metrics from a local Active Directory environment.
Could anyone clarify if there are any specific Windows permissions or privileges required for the OneAgent (Infra-only) or the extension to successfully retrieve WMI-based metrics?
Are there particular permissions or group memberships (e.g., Performance Monitor Users, Remote Management Users, or others) that must be assigned to the user account or service account running OneAgent or the extension?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated 🙏.
Thank you!

Hello @JeanBlanc
Basic monitoring of Active Directory services does not require any special permissions. However, for extended monitoring, a specific user account and password are necessary, along with certain permissions outlined in the extension's setup instructions.
