SAP HANA - fetch top queries

Hello.

Is there any way I can add to a dashboard the 10 most time consuming or mostly requested DB Queries for a SAP HANA?

I do not see such metric in neither SAP nor SAP HANA extensions?

Any idea?

Hi @Theodore_x86 , 

At the moment, this is not possible via either the existing SAP ABAP or SAP HANA DB extensions. However top queries is on the roadmap to be added to the new Extensions 2.0 version of the SAP HANA DB extension. The first release is planned in the next week or so and will not include the top queries but it will be in a future version.

Currently the idea is to gather information from the Expensive Statements table (https://help.sap.com/docs/HANA_SERVICE_CF/7c78579ce9b14a669c1f3295b0d8ca16/20af736e751910148162e2ab1...), will that fit your use case?

Thanks for the update David!

I think that "Expensive Statements table" will be a nice to have feature. Not 100% our case because it is already evaluated under a threshold, but surely it is something handy we could use in our dashboard.

Hi, do we have any update on this feature? Are we able to trace it? We are in the process of enabling EF2 for our SAP landscape and wanted to check if we can fetch the expensive statements data through EF2.

Also, adding to this do we have any way to dig into the indexserver process/services? Currently, whenever it comes to HANA monitoring, we hit a roadblock. The consumption is always pointed to the indexserver process/services, but we are unable to provide further details beyond that.
