You can effectively monitor Citrix VDI desktops with Dynatrace using the official Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v2 Extension. This extension connects via the Delivery Controller REST API to provide key metrics such as session performance, availability, and resource utilization.

Setup overview:

  1. Install the extension from Dynatrace Hub.

  2. Configure API endpoint and credentials for Citrix Delivery Controller.

  3. Dynatrace will then automatically collect and visualize health and performance metrics from your Citrix environment.
