Sending logs from Vector to Dynatrace via Log Ingestion API

Hello Dynatrace Community,

We are currently considering a migration from Fluentd to Vector for log collection on OpenShift.

According to Red Hat, Fluentd is deprecated starting with Red Hat OpenShift Logging 5.5, and Vector ...

As part of the OpenShift upgrade, we are planning to migrate from Fluentd to Vector and are considering using Vector for Dynatrace log ingestion as well.

We would like to understand the following:

  1. Has anyone successfully forwarded logs from Vector to Dynatrace using the Log Ingestion API?
  2. Is this architecture officially supported or commonly used in production environments?
  3. Are there any known limitations or considerations when using Vector instead of Fluent Bit or OneAgent for log ingestion?
  4. Is the following Vector configuration approach correct?

We would greatly appreciate any recommendations or lessons learned.
