Why is Oneagent with service disabled still writing logs to /var/log/dynatrace/oneagent/process?

Dears,

I have Oneagent with the service disabled on a Linux server but it has logs that continue to be written in /var/log/dynatrace/oneagent/process and a file in a day is close to 500MB, it creates files with the name ruxitagentproc<date> .log.

Could you help to understand why there are still logs even with Oneagent turned off?

Hi nunosousa

as far i know, when you disable the agent from the  UI, the agent enters a state of hearbeat mode, waiting  to be enable wherever it comes.

this does not mean that the agent is stoped or turning off.   Start/Stop Agent linux

when the agent its on heartbeat mode, the agent still takes care of knowing what is running inside the server and waiting to be reactivated, that's why the logs, as far as I know.

How do you stop the heartbeat?

Hi,

Is OneAgent service stopped from SO perspective? If not, you can try to stop it following link provided by @rgarzon1.
