Topology (monitored entities) is not yet stored in Grail. Instead, the classic entity storage can be accessed via DQL through predefined views that are all prefixed with dt.entity.
1. Is topology stored in an independent graph database? And how DQL can MPP from the topology storage?
2. Is there any plan to store topology into grail, and may lead to any possible performance improvements?
3. Are there any examples that illustrate the benefits of correlating metric log trace events to a topology?
Thanks.

Entities are in Grail (dt.entity.*) but perhaps I'm missing something in what you are asking.

We just finished our preview program for core entities on Grail. https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/whats-new/preview-releases keep an eye on the preview page for more entity types coming soon!
Entities on Grail is similar to timeseries so you could go back in time to see what changed. This context is used by Dynatrace intelligence to understand how relationships and context changed over time. Having this topology understanding and logs / traces in context makes our AI capable of truly understanding the root cause. Also you can now give this to your own AI systems via our MCP server.
