ActiveGate API Proxy for SaaS

One of the issues I commonly have is, that I want to feed data as a custom counter from a server that has no internet access (and security won't let me connect to the Dynatrace SaaS). But I can reach the ActiveGates. So why not use the ActiveGates as a API proxy for Dynatrace SaaS?

I was told this is possible (haven't tried it yet) but an undocumented feature.

It is possible to use Environment and Configuration APIs via ActiveGates.
