Hello,
In customer landscape there are fat clients that will show up as requests from unmonitored host in a service. Is there any way I can mix this with the mapped IP from the location list?
(same applies for requests to unmonitored hosts)
I assume the answer is no, the location list is only used in the RUM part?

Exactly. Locations are used only in the RUM part of Dynatrace.

But if you have a fixed IP you are calling from or calling to, you can create a 'Custom device' with a specific name and list of IPs to name that specific node.
This of course does not work for public internet kind of client addresses.

Hello Henk
Can you confirm if this actually worked and is still working in your environment?
I just did a test with Dynatrace version 1.246 and it appears this is no longer working as described.
Thank you.
Best regards
Stijn
