CloudNativeFullStack deployment but Dynatrace Host shows Monitoring mode as "Full stack" — is this expected?

Hi All,

We have an cluster monitored using Dynatrace Operator with cloudNativeFullStack configuration:

spec:

oneAgent:

cloudNativeFullStack:

We are using Dyntrace operator version: 1.9.0 and Activegate version: 1.339 with cloudnativefullstack

On the Kubernetes side, we have confirmed that the cluster is configured for Cloud Native Full-Stack monitoring. In DT cluster is also showing as Cloud native fullstack.

However, when I open one of the Kubernetes worker nodes in the Dynatrace UI -> Host, under Properties, it shows:

Cloud platform type: Kubernetes

Monitoring mode: Full stack

My question is:

Is it expected for a host/node monitored through cloudNativeFullStack to show Monitoring mode: Full stack in the Dynatrace Host view? Or should the Dynatrace UI show CloudNativeFullStack somewhere instead?

Could someone please clarify which Dynatrace UI field/page should be used to verify that a host is monitored using Cloud Native Full-Stack?

Hi,

I think it is just a different name convection between Operator vs OneAgent.

You are not going to see "cloudNativeFullStack" in host level, because it is a deployment model for Operator. Operator has some modes and OneAgent has another modes. And both are in fullstack.
