Hi everyone,
who's able to share DPS licensing for Kubernetes environment?
We are facing a decision regarding the standard model or PCB. We would like to know some experience, lessons learned, etc.
Many thanks Jiri

@jirkacha - k8s platform monitoring licensing is calculated by pod-hour, here are some details on how its calculated
https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/dps-containers#pod-hours
If you enable app monitoring, you’ll be charged for both k8s platform monitoring and app monitoring . For app it will be a Full-Stack Monitoring cost

Hi,
This calculation is in both Saas and Managed?
And who can provide the prod-hour without monitoring the cluster?
The application is not able to have this information.

That's a DPS only thing so Saas only.

as far as I know, DPS licensing model is available only for Saas customers. So if you're not in Saas, this is not your case

No
We are in managed and we migrated to DPS recently,
Sure, SaaS is pretty more easy for dashboarding, calculation ...
We are suffering with managed.

I'm sorry, I had wrong info. Definitely Saas is much better than Managed, we migrated 6 months and unlocked lots of use cases that were stuck for years.
