Difference between (ProcessGroup)PG monitoring and Custom PG monitoring rules

Please someone highlight me the exact differences between PG monitoring and Custom PG monitoring rules in Global settings->Process and Containers->Process Deep monitoring.

Hi Gogi,

With Process Group monitoring you can globally set the deep moniotring of recognized processes (on/off). You can check it at the individual Process Group settings as you see.

 

Custom Process monitoring rules can be use eg override the global rule above. See an example. I did not want to deep monitor the nodemanager process globally (it is not included in the Built-in process group monitoring rules - next menu item).

Understood, PG monitoring and Custom PG monitoring options are mainly  to control "Deep monitoring" at Global level, even we can enable/disable "Deep monitoring" at each process group level but these settings are mainly to control deep monitoring at Global level.

Please let me know whether I have understood correct.
