Disable monitoring and bandwidth

Hi to all

if I disable monitoring on a host (settings option in the dynatrace admin console), does the agent continue to consume the outgoing bandwidth when talking with the dynatrace saas environment or is it silent?

Hi Frédéric,

as you are able to re-enable monitoring from the console and OneAgent doesn't open any listening ports on the monitored machine I would assume that it polls the server periodically to check if there has been a change of configuration. So you would still have some traffic.

If you don't want that you can stop the OneAgent Service from the command line: https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/deploy-dyna.... You would then have to use the command line again if you want to continue monitoring.
