Dynatrace Windows One Agent installation on Azure VDI

Hello,

When installing the one agent on Windows Azure VDI, are there any gotchas or configuration items to remember to have setup to allow for a seamless installation so data can be represented in Dynatrace UI?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks.

You don't really need any configuration while installing anything on the Azure VDI it works pretty much the same way How it works for any server.

But as part of best practise try providing the Host Group configuration to keep your environment organise well enough.

Host Group Configuration: https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/host-groups

Hi Rishabh,

Should I do the host-group prior to installing the agent?

We are installing the agent "manually" on the system.

Thanks,

FLewellen

Hi @flewellen , you can assign the host to a host group when installing the OneAgent using "--set-host-group" parameter . But, you need to plan on how you want to name and categorize the host group before you start installing the OneAgents so that you have a clear purpose based on which you want to group the hosts.

Example -

/bin/sh Dynatrace-OneAgent-Linux-1.177.65.sh --set-host-group=MyHostGroup

https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/host-groups#assign-a-host-to-a-host-group
