Dynatrace invoke shell script from Linux sever

Is there a way to create a problem metric in Dynatrace using the shell script that can be executed from the Linux server (Monitoring Server)?

Probably fastest & oldest way is to get the data in via the Dynatrace API.

But you can also feed it into OneAgent, with scripting integration. Haven't tried it myself, but seems pretty easy:
